Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have 2 years experience and 1 travel assignment. - Need to have experience with same type of hospital acuity, no CAH. Need experience at a larger organization with high acuity, high turnover and fast pace.

Unit Details: - Cares for patients with diabetes, CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, DVTs, ETOH, psych, dialysis, and some overflow post-surgical cases including amputations, debridements, and wound care.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. Rotate with permanent staff.

Floating Requirements: - May float to all acute care and cardio units to care for medical patients, or to EC for acute care patient holds.

3 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
