What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with assigned duties and site policies.
• Monitor entrances, screening areas, and restricted locations to help to deter unauthorized access, prohibited items, and/or disruptive behavior.
• Support public-facing operations by verifying identification, directing foot traffic, and communicating clearly with employees, visitors, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a DCJS license in Virginia only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
