What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with location protocols, including verifying credentials and directing visitors to appropriate areas.
• Support healthcare staff during security-related calls for assistance, patient-related incidents, and/or transport-related activity while following post orders and applicable use of force guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
