Director of Machine Learning
The client is seeking a Director of Machine Learning to lead machine learning infrastructure and technical strategy. In this role, you will own scalable, fault-tolerant ML pipelines and partner with product and engineering teams to align ML systems with business goals and deliver data-driven solutions. You will lead and manage a team of engineers while setting technical direction, maintaining reliability and performance across ML platforms, and driving continuous improvement in the ML engineering lifecycle. The position typically involves hands-on work with cloud platforms and MLOps practices, including workflow tooling and observability, as well as supporting CI/CD practices for deploying and operating ML systems. The client expects strong experience in ML engineering and demonstrated leadership, including prior people-management responsibilities. You should have proficiency in deploying low-latency machine learning solutions and working with advanced architectures such as LLMs and vector-based systems, along with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and mentor and grow engineering talent; experience in advertising or performance marketing is a plus.
