<div>Registered Nurse - Women's Services Position Summary <p>Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.</p>Essential Functions <ul> <li>Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.</li> <li>Documents patient care provided.</li> <li>Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.</li> <li>Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.</li> <li>Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.</li> <li>Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.</li> <li>Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.</li> <li>Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.</li> <li>Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.</li> <li>Maintains regular and reliable attendance.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>Additional Information <p>Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.</p> <p>Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.</p> <p>Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.</p> <p>Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.</p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities <p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.</p> <p><strong>Education:</strong> Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.</p> <p><strong>License:</strong> /Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Handle with Care preferred.</p><p>Lifepoint Health is a leader in community-based care and driven by a mission of Making Communities Healthier.
