Government: Deployment Strategist
Our client, an AI-driven defense and government enterprise software startup, is seeking Deployment Strategists.
The company is building a platform designed to transform how companies sell into government simplifying how organizations identify, pursue, and win public-sector opportunities across defense, space, advanced manufacturing, AI, and national security.
They are looking for an entrepreneurial operator to lead customer deployments and ensure the platform becomes a mission-critical partner to defense and space companies.
What You'll Do
Serve as the deployment lead for a portfolio of high-growth defense and space organizations, owning post-sale relationships from onboarding and training through adoption, expansion, and renewals
Guide complex onboarding processes across a wide range of organizations from early-stage defense-tech startups to large Fortune 500 enterprises
Travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) to lead pilots and support customer rollouts
Drive commercial expansion through upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
Monitor customer health metrics to increase retention, reduce churn, and secure renewals
Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to influence roadmap decisions and improve the customer experience
What Were Looking For
1 3 years of experience (ONLY) in consulting, strategy, investment banking, or similar high-intensity environments
Experience presenting to and influencing senior executives; ability to articulate ROI clearly in C-suite settings
Experience leading enterprise software deployments is a plus
Comfort navigating large, traditional industries and complex organizations
Willingness to travel 1 2 times per month
High agency, strong execution skills, and ability to context-switch quickly
Entrepreneurial mindset with excitement about building processes from scratch
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal presence
Preferred but not required:
Experience with defense contracts or government procurement
Familiarity with government contracting portals and data
Background in public policy, foreign policy, or government (including internships)
Prior entrepreneurial or early-stage startup experience
