Analyst/Sr. Analyst, Commercial Planning & Analysis (2312437)
Responsible for communicating directly with business units to understand their business problems; Develop creative proof-of-concept solutions that can be easily articulated to the IT organization for production; Utilize SQL to create tables, stored procedures, and process data to be utilized by Sales applications and reports; Support versioning of data and to query terms from a database; Develop Python Scripts for data migration; Maintain the reliability of solutions by developing and implementing standards and/or processes for database maintenance, documentation, and configuration; Create and maintain documentation related to the company’s software solution and database environment; Utilize various programming languages and data visualization tools to provide analyst tools to perform statistical research and analysis, such as Python for data analysis, SQL for data querying, and Tableau/PowerBI for interactive dashboards; Develop forecasting models and new predictive analytics to enable strategy teams to identify trends; Perform ad-hoc analysis and other program administration as required; Refresh and maintain legacy reports currently developed in Excel; Identify, implement, and evaluate revenue growth programs, and develop practical revenue management solutions; Analyze passenger revenue by evaluating passenger demand and forecasting passenger revenue; Perform validation of models to ensure adequacy, define data requirements, gather and validate information, and apply statistical tests; Monitor the effectiveness of revenue strategies and initiatives including pricing, yield, network planning, sales, finance, AAdvantage, and marketing actions; Present analysis, strategies, and results to assist management with decision-making; Develop performance measurements and analytical tools to improve profitability and planning or forecasting processes; Develop reports and proposals, such as market assessments, business plans, financial performance plans, network profitability plans, fleet plans, capital expenditure requests, etc.; Analyze data derived from various areas, such as booking activity, fleet analyses, market trends, ROI analyses, performance and budget analyses, profitability statistics, previous campaign results, site statistics, marketing efforts, revenue management, and pricing trends in order to devise strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.
Job Location: Fort Worth, TX
3 years of experience as an Analyst, Consultant, Intern, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained, plus demonstrated experience in: SQL, MSSQL Server, PL/SQL Developer, SQLScript; Tableau/PowerBI; Database Management Systems; Storing, organizing, and retrieving large datasets efficiently; Data cleansing, modeling, and integration; Data governance, quality checks and validation; Creating and presenting analytical insights; Microsoft Word, PowerPoint; Creating KPIs, and analytics to support planning, performance tracking, and business decision-making; Advanced Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, and Pivot Tables); Scalable data storage, high-speed data retrieval, and advanced analytics; Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation; Collaborating with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate business requirements into scalable, data-driven solutions. A bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a master’s degree plus 3 years of experience.
Master’s degree in Information Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
