**Position Title:** Substitute Paraprofessional

**Location:** Green Local Schools / Green, OH

**Employment Type:** As Needed / Part-Time / On-Call

**Pay Rate:** $12.50/Hour
$15.45/Hour for long-term substitute assignments

**About the Role**

Dedicated School Staffing is seeking reliable and compassionate Substitute Paraprofessionals to support students and teachers when regular staff members are unavailable. This role is essential in helping maintain a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment. Substitute paraprofessionals assist with classroom activities, provide individualized support, and help ensure continuity of services across both general and special education settings.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Assist classroom teachers with instruction, activities, and supervision

* Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students, including those with special needs

* Carry out accommodations and modifications as directed by the teacher or intervention specialist

* Support students with daily routines such as organization, transitions, and lesson engagement

* Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during arrival or dismissal

* Help maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment

* Follow established lesson plans, behavior plans, and safety procedures

* Communicate clearly with teachers, staff, and administrators

* Document student observations or incidents as required

**Required Qualifications**

* Must be at least 18 years of age

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Valid educational aide permit or higher teaching license (as required by state regulations)

* Clean criminal background check

* Ability to work with children in a patient, supportive, and professional manner

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to follow directions and adapt to different classroom environments and student needs

* Physical ability to assist students as needed (e.g., mobility support, classroom tasks)

* Adherence to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Experience working with children, particularly in educational or childcare settings

* Previous experience supporting students with disabilities

* Training in behavior management or de-escalation strategies
