About us
Easy Fresh Meals is a new meal prep delivery service launching in mid April, serving customers across the San Diego to Temecula region. Meals will be prepared in a commercial kitchen in Escondido.
We focus on convenient, high quality weekly meal plans designed to make healthy eating simple. Customers subscribe to a rotating weekly menu and receive freshly prepared meals delivered directly to their door.
All meals will be prepared once per week on Sunday mornings.
Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate Meal Prep Chef to join our culinary team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, delicious, and well-balanced meals. Your leadership in food production and kitchen management will ensure that each meal is crafted with precision, safety, and care. You will lead a small team through the meal prep production process.
This is a part-time opportunity, starting with 8-10 hours per week on Sundays.
Compensation is $27.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on level of experience with the meal prep or catering industry and menu creation + $1200 per quarter Bonus
Duties
Prepare a variety of meal preps with attention to portion control and presentation standards
Lead, direct and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation techniques and ensuring smooth shift operations and production
Collaborate with the team to develop menu plans that meet nutritional guidelines and customer preferences
Coordinate food production schedules to ensure timely delivery of meals for clients or events
Requirements
Proven experience in food production, catering, or restaurant management with a focus on meal prep, or dietary services.
Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience in a culinary setting
Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Ability to plan menus effectively
Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines with a focus on nutritious meal creation
Background in kitchen management including shift management, food service management, and catering operations
Speaks English and Spanish
Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
