2nd Shift Part Time Cashiers & 3rd Shift Part Time Cashiers NEEDED! Cockerham Food Mart #4 located at 59 Farmers Market Drive Hillsville, VA is looking for a 2nd shift part-time Customer Service Cashier. Cockerham is a 3rd generation, locally owned and operated, business providing a full line of propane and petroleum products to residential and commercial customers in Virginia and North Carolina. Cockerham also owns and operates 8 convenience stores (Galax, Hillsville, & Fancy Gap, VA), Hampton Inn and the Pizza Inn/TCBY in Hillsville, VA. Primary Job Duties: - Provides fast, friendly, and efficient service - Operate electronic cash register by ringing transactions, collecting money or processing credit card transactions - Uses other equipment to process transactions such as Fuel Cards and lottery/lotto sales - Check ID's for age restricted items (Cigarettes, lottery/lotto, etc.) - Stocking shelves and cooler while rotating product - Removes all damages and out of code merchandise from the shelves - Clean all areas, using proper cleaning procedures and materials, including (but not limited to) counter tops, microwaves, shelves, floors, windows, cooler doors, food service equipment, restrooms, and parking lots - Check in vendors as needed following company guidelines - Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned to accommodate store operational needs - Helps in the Deli as needed Requirements and Skills: - Must be 21 years of age or older - Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance - Experience in retail environment/food service preferred - Reliable and accountable - Flexibility with scheduling
