We are seeking a dynamic Manager, Line Delivery / Automotive to lead inhouse logistics operations supporting uninterrupted assembly production.
What You’ll Do
As the Manager, Line Delivery, you will oversee the complete inhouse logistics operation for Assembly, ensuring sequenced parts are delivered safely, accurately, and on time to support series production.
Key responsibilities include:
• Build and lead the Inhouse Logistics Operations Team responsible for parts sequencing and line-feeding operations within the Assembly Shop
• Manage a workforce of approximately 200 blue-collar employees across 3 shifts and 20 logistics specialists
• Ensure efficient operation and maintenance of logistical equipment, including emergency response and repair concepts
• Drive safe operations while maintaining environmental and ecological standards
• Lead the planning and implementation of new logistics processes, structures, and equipment for assembly production support
• Oversee recruiting, training, workforce planning, and development for both internal and outsourced personnel
• Coordinate annual and perpetual inventory processes for full containers and empties
• Ensure smooth flow of materials through supermarkets, staging areas, and internal transport systems
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 10+ years of professional experience in logistics or production within the automotive industry
• 3+ years of management experience in an operational environment
• High-volume automotive manufacturing experience required
• Strong experience with:
o Just In Time (JIT) delivery operations
o Just In Sequence (JIS) delivery operations
o Line feeding operations
o Supermarkets (picking and staging areas)
o Internal transport systems including tuggers, AGVs, and forklifts
o Flow management of full containers and empties
