Lakeland, FL • Posted 5 days ago • $20 - $35 per hour
Remote Part Time Not specified Level general

We're a lean, fast-moving real estate investment company and we're looking for someone who can own the financial side of our business without hand-holding. If you're sharp with numbers, know your way around real estate accounting, and want to work somewhere your work actually matters, keep reading.

About RedRidge Investments

RedRidge Investments is a multi-strategy real estate investment company operating across long-term rentals, short-term and mid-term rentals, private lending, wholesaling and flips, and creative financing structures including lease-options. We currently hold a 25-property portfolio and are actively acquiring multiple deals per month.

We're a team of 6. Everyone here owns their lane, moves fast, and communicates directly. There's no micromanagement but there are high expectations.

The Role

This is a part-time (20 hours/week, Monday Thursday), fully remote contract position. You'll be the person who makes sure the books are clean, the bills are paid, the loans are serviced, and the ownership team always has an accurate picture of how each property is performing.

You'll work directly with our third-party bookkeeper, coordinate with our CPA, and report to the COO. You won't manage people, but you will hold the business accountable to its financial systems.

The #1 priority of this role: producing accurate, on-time monthly P&L statements per property with full investor metrics. These reports drive every strategic decision we make.

What You'll Own

This role covers eight core areas:

- Books & Financial Reporting Monitor our third-party bookkeeper, perform first-pass accounting in QuickBooks, and ensure clean monthly financials.
- Portfolio Profitability Analysis Produce monthly per-property P&L statements with full investor metrics (NOI, cash flow, cash-on-cash return, cap rate, ROI, DSCR, and more). Identify cost-saving and revenue opportunities.
- AR, AP, Loan Servicing & Collections Apply all incoming payments, run our Owner Approval Queue for outgoing payments, and service all loans receivable and payable including subject-to and wrap mortgage administration.
- CPA Handoff & Tax Forms Prepare books for CPA handoff, assist with tax forms, and serve as our day-to-day CPA liaison.
- Payroll & Legal Forms Administer biweekly payroll for our portfolio staff and issue all legal forms (W-2, 1099, contractor agreements, entity filings) on time.
- Email Monitoring Monitor delegated finance inboxes daily and keep them at zero unread.
- Recurring Payments Ensure every recurring obligation (utilities, insurance, subscriptions, mortgages, investor loan payments) is paid accurately and on time.
- SOPs & Standard Business Events Execute checklists for acquisitions, dispositions, tenant move-ins, and move-outs. Keep our Drive organized and our SOPs current.

What Makes This Role Unique

This isn't a standard bookkeeping or AP/AR job. Our portfolio includes subject-to acquisitions, private lending in both directions, rent-to-own structures, and multiple revenue streams that require precise accounting treatment. You need to understand these structures or be genuinely excited to learn them quickly.

You'll get to see more deal structures in a year here than most finance professionals see in a decade. If you're interested in real estate investing, this role gives you an inside look at how a multi-strategy investment company operates.

Who Thrives Here

- You work well independently. We'll set you up with systems and SOPs, but you need to hold yourself accountable.
- You're detail-obsessed. Numbers that don't reconcile bother you until they do.
- You communicate proactively. If something is off, you flag it you don't wait to be asked.
- You can handle multiple moving parts. We run a diverse portfolio with multiple deal types. You'll need to context-switch without dropping anything.
- You take ownership. When something is in your lane, you own it fully.

What We're Looking For (Required)

- 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration experience.
- Working proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Comfortable with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Calendar).
- Strong written communication able to draft professional correspondence with vendors, lenders, and the CPA.
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred (These Set You Apart)

- Real estate, property management, or investment firm experience especially with multi-strategy portfolios.
- Familiarity with subject-to acquisitions, private lending, or loan servicing.
- Familiarity with creative financing structures (rent-to-own, lease-options, seller financing).
- Experience with payroll administration and 1099/W-2 preparation.
- Experience with GoHighLevel (GHL), Slack, PandaDoc, or Bitwarden.

Schedule & Structure

This is a part-time contract position at 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday. Hours are structured around consistent daily blocks inbox, AR/collections, AP, and QuickBooks in the mornings, with a flexible afternoon block for strategic and project work.

This role is designed to grow. As our portfolio scales, we expect this position to transition to full-time W-2 with benefits.

How to Apply

Send us a resume and a short note (no more than a few sentences) telling us:

- What experience you have that's most relevant to this role.
- Whether you have any experience with subject-to deals, private lending, lease-options, or other creative finance structures.
- Why part-time remote contract work fits where you are right now.

We don't need a cover letter. We do need someone who reads carefully, communicates clearly, and knows their numbers. If that's you, we'd like to hear from you.
