Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in energy or infrastructure project financial analytics and financial structuring and analysis.
  • 3 years of experience with financial analysis for energy transactions, including project financial modeling across various energy agreement types from utility supply to PPAs, etc.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 3 years of experience supporting agreement negotiations and drafting in the infrastructure field, including power generation or power infrastructure.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will support the financial analytics engine behind frameworks, partnerships, energy supply agreements, and generation strategy that underpin Google's Americas data center energy team. You will assist in financial and structuring analytics related to the negotiations and execution of energy agreements retail, wholesale, deregulated and regulated energy markets. You will track industry financial trends, maintain financial structuring benchmarks, support agreement teams in financial analysis and modeling through transactions and strategic planning. As part of agreement teams you will help prepare and present agreements for approval while ensuring alignment across accounting and finance partner teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Support the commercial structuring analytics program, helping to build energy strategy, structure and evaluate energy agreements in support of the Americas data center portfolio.
  • Assist in the evaluation of transactions across partnerships, portfolio frameworks, utility energy supply, IPP energy supply, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and other types of energy agreements.
  • Maintain up-to-date benchmarks for industry standard financial metrics, project capex/opex benchmarks, etc.
  • Help prepare and present agreement approval materials and work with cross-functional partners in Accounting, Finance, etc., to align on a common set of agreement analytics and metrics.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals. Build, maintain and enhance business, operational, and management dashboards.
