Underwriting Specialist

A company is looking for an Underwriting Specialist in Small Commercial Underwriting.



Key Responsibilities

Underwrite risks in the Small Commercial Business Unit, including BOP, Workers Compensation, Auto, and Umbrella segments
Manage an assigned portfolio to achieve profitability, retention, and growth goals
Develop and maintain strong agency relationships to drive performance and identify cross-sell opportunities


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; professional designations preferred
Typically, a minimum of three to five years of underwriting experience
Advanced knowledge of underwriting and property & casualty insurance industry practices
Strong analytical skills and ability to make critical business decisions
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software
