Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Revenue Cycle Manager located in the Greater Saginaw-Midland-Bay City area. The Revenue Cycle Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of revenue cycle operations, including billing, claims submission, payment posting, and denial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize billing processes for diverse payer sources, including Private Pay, Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI), Worker’s Compensation, VA, BOP, and IHS.
Analyze revenue cycle processes and implement strategies to minimize the "days in accounts receivable."
Ensure all billing documentation adheres to the "Audit Wall" by strictly reflecting non-skilled, non-medical service delivery.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service plans are accurately translated into billable claims.
Monitor managed care contracts and resolve discrepancies while maintaining compliance with Michigan state regulations.
Lead denial management efforts and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring billing errors.
Qualifications
Expertise: Proficiency in Revenue Cycle Management and Practice Management processes specifically within the home care or home health industry.
Payer Knowledge: Practical experience with LTCI, VA billing, and Private Pay collections is highly preferred.
Compliance: Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and the ability to maintain documentation that reinforces the non-medical scope of care.
Analytical Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to navigate complex payer rules.
Leadership: Ability to lead a team and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and third-party agencies.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with revenue cycle management software and financial reporting tools (experience with Hathr.ai is a plus).
