Certified Inpatient Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Remote Medical Coder for Hospital Inpatient.



Key Responsibilities

Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10, PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes
Ensure all services documented in patient charts are coded accurately and seek proper documentation when necessary
Maintain a coding accuracy of 95% while achieving productivity standards of 2 inpatient charts per hour


Required Qualifications

High School Diploma
Minimum of 5 years of experience coding hospital acute care inpatient records
CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification from AHIMA required
Experience with systems such as EPIC, Cerner, Optum, and/or 3M
Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM and PCS coding clinics
