Interventional Radiology Coder

A company is looking for an Interventional Radiology Coder.



Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze patient medical records and operative reports to determine correct procedure codes
Assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for IR procedures and related services
Adhere to compliance guidelines and perform periodic audits to ensure coding accuracy


Required Qualifications

Certification: CPC or CCS from a recognized coding body
Experience: Minimum of two years in surgery coding
Knowledge of Medical Terminology: Strong understanding of medical terms and surgical procedures
Computer proficiency: Familiarity with EHR systems and coding software
