Behavioral Health Consultant

A company is looking for a Behavioral Health Consultant to join their mental health team within the Group Protection Clinical organization.



Key Responsibilities

Review and assess mental health disability claims in collaboration with healthcare providers and claims specialists
Provide behavioral health expertise during claim meetings and clinical forums
Evaluate clinical information to determine ongoing restrictions, limitations, and level of impairment


Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Master's degree in a human services related field (e.g., Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health Counseling)
Licensure in Clinical Psychology or Social Work (e.g., LICSW, LCMHC, LPC, LMFT)
3-5 years of experience in a behavioral health setting, including 1 year in claims or disability management
Certified Case Management (CCM) designation is preferred
