This full-time position is based at our facility and requires in-person attendance as it is not a remote job. As a Glass Glazier Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting and achieving our mission of providing high-quality glass solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop hands-on experience and to grow within the field under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation and repair of glass for commercial and residential settings.
  • Help in preparing and loading the necessary tools and materials for on-site jobs.
  • Ensure all work environments are kept clean, organized, and safe for all staff and clients.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and stored properly.
  • Follow all safety guidelines set by the company and regulatory bodies to avoid incidents and ensure a safe working space.
  • Assist lead glaziers in measuring and outlining installation areas accurately.
  • Help in handling glass carefully to avoid breakage and potential hazards.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to improve skills and adopt new practices.
  • Support the team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Travel to various job sites as required by the company's operational needs.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical school certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or interest in pursuing a career as a glazier.
  • Basic understanding of the tools and techniques used in glass installation and repair.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to also perform tasks independently.
  • Strong commitment to safety guidelines and a proactive approach to preventing accidents.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or evenings as needed.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to various work sites.
  • Professional demeanor and a strong work ethic.
