Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and repair of glass for commercial and residential settings.
- Help in preparing and loading the necessary tools and materials for on-site jobs.
- Ensure all work environments are kept clean, organized, and safe for all staff and clients.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and stored properly.
- Follow all safety guidelines set by the company and regulatory bodies to avoid incidents and ensure a safe working space.
- Assist lead glaziers in measuring and outlining installation areas accurately.
- Help in handling glass carefully to avoid breakage and potential hazards.
- Participate in training and development sessions to improve skills and adopt new practices.
- Support the team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Travel to various job sites as required by the company's operational needs.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical school certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role or interest in pursuing a career as a glazier.
- Basic understanding of the tools and techniques used in glass installation and repair.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to also perform tasks independently.
- Strong commitment to safety guidelines and a proactive approach to preventing accidents.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or evenings as needed.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to various work sites.
