We are part of the Laptops and Tablets (L&T) organization, working on the Android operating system. The team builds features in Android to support desktop, external displays and other features necessary to make Android work on large screens.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end tasks for delivering and maintaining desktop features in the Android framework.
  • Clarify requirements and priorities with product managers and UX.
  • Understand and follow the feature launch process in Android precisely to ensure feature deliverables are provided in a timely manner.
  • Propose changes to the Android framework to make it more desktop-friendly.
  • Resolve bugs reported in relevant areas, analyze common patterns of failures, and avoid future regressions.
