Voice Up Trilogy Intern Identity, Purpose, and Community Impact
ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
Voice Up is a human development and community impact organization that transforms identity, emotional literacy, purpose, and leadership into real-world action through story-based learning and applied practice.
The All the Colors of a King Trilogy represents a complete developmental system:
Identity (Book 1): Who you are and your voice
Connection (Book 2): How you work with others
Impact (Book 3): How you lead and serve at scale
Interns do not just study this system they apply it in real communities.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Trilogy Intern is responsible for designing, facilitating, and evaluating identity, purpose, and leadership-based learning experiences for youth, families, and communities.
This internship blends:
Education
Public health prevention
Social-emotional learning
Community engagement
Interns will complete the 8-week modules while simultaneously delivering real-world programming.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identity & Voice Development (Book 1)
Facilitate sessions helping participants define identity and strengths
Guide youth in creating identity statements ( colors )
Support development of emotional vocabulary and self-awareness
Lead reflection-based discussions
Based on identity formation and SEL frameworks
2. Collaboration & Purpose Building (Book 2)
Facilitate group-based activities focused on:
Empathy
Collaboration
Problem-solving
Apply the 5 core principles:
Patience
Humility
Empathy
Precision
Collaboration
Support teams in identifying real community challenges
3. Community Problem Solving
Help participants identify real-world issues ( Cloud of Doubt model)
Assist in designing solutions using structured frameworks
Support implementation of small-scale community projects
4. Leadership & Impact (Book 3)
Model discipline, service, and consistency
Support participants in applying leadership principles in real settings
Facilitate discussions on resilience, adversity, and long-term impact
Grounded in leadership development and lived experience frameworks
5. ️ Curriculum & Tool Development
Create:
Lesson plans
Workshop guides
Reflection tools
Ensure materials are:
Age-appropriate
Inclusive
Action-oriented
6. Evaluation & Data Collection
Track participant engagement and outcomes
Collect qualitative and quantitative feedback
Support program evaluation and reporting
