Respiratory Therapist

Position: Respiratory Therapist Location: Hopemont, WV 26764 Duration: Long-Term Contract (Up to 5 Years) Job Type: Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide cardiopulmonary care and respiratory therapy services to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. The therapist will work closely with physicians and healthcare teams to administer treatments, perform diagnostic procedures, and ensure proper patient care documentation. Minimum Qualifications: - Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation of Respiratory Care (COARC) approved Respiratory Therapy program. - Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy (minimum requirement). - Current West Virginia State License for Respiratory Therapy. - Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting. Key Responsibilities: - Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by physicians. - Provide cardiopulmonary care and life-support services to patients with heart and lung disorders. - Perform diagnostic tests related to cardiovascular and pulmonary functions. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. - Monitor patient responses to respiratory therapy and report findings to the healthcare team. - Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and departmental performance improvement activities. - Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and patient care standards.
