Before and After School Childcare Staff - Emma C Chase

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring staff for our Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year. JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt LOCATION: Emma C Chase Elementary School in Wurtsboro, NY POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Childcare Program Staff PAY: $16.00 per hour HOURS: 7:00 - 9:15 am and 3:15 - 6:00 pm The Before and After-School Program team is responsible for: Leading hands-on activities in alignment with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, which features fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group programs, along with providing homework support. Creating a safe, clean, healthy, and enjoyable environment while serving as a positive role model for children in the program. Arriving prepared and on time for scheduled shifts and remaining until the last child has left. Communicating daily with parents and families through the Playground App. Adhering to all state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school procedures. Certain positions may also include administrative responsibilities such as maintaining attendance, registration, and staffing records. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferably have at least one year of experience working with children under 13. Must be medically cleared of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB). Should be warm, friendly, and enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal skills; professional, dependable, and punctual. Physically capable of bending, stretching, lifting, carrying up to 50 lbs., and keeping up with active children.
