Position Overview
The Managing Partner of Building Caring holds a dual role as both an organizational leader and faculty member at Voice Up's New Global University for all families and learners.
Strategic Leadership
- Implement a global vision for creating replicable community models, starting with one U.S. city as a pilot
- Design innovative approaches to connect housing options with wraparound support services
- Create frameworks for strengthening family connections through community engagement
- Lead community needs assessments in cities demonstrating readiness for housing innovation
The successful candidate should have a daily personal walk with God the Father.
This innovative position combines practical community development leadership with academic engagement, working directly with top undergraduate and graduate students in urban design and public policy to foster the next generation of community development innovators.

Under the founder's guidance, VoiceUp is pioneering the integration of strategies related to Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) within a trailblazing housing development model.
A cornerstone of this initiative is our workforce development strategy. The Voice Up Credential is a certification program that builds and validates real-world and soft skills essential for leaders driving positive social change.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Program Development & Integration
- Identify and evaluate cities with policies and stakeholders aligned with housing innovation
- Design comprehensive community assessment tools and methodologies
- Develop metrics for measuring program success and community impact
- Create implementation strategies for pilot programs
- Coordinate with Voice Up's faith, education, health, and workforce development initiatives
- Support the integration of Building Caring with the innovative hospital-church community project
- Develop strategies for creating holistic community support systems that connect housing with healthcare, education, and employment opportunities
Partnership Building
- Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals dedicated to VoiceUp's mission
- Build relationships with community leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders
- Identify and engage potential partner organizations and communities
- Facilitate cross-sector collaboration to support program implementation
Workforce Development & Leadership
- Serve as faculty member at VoiceUp's Global University
- Mentor and guide top undergraduate and graduate students in urban design
- Facilitate student research and projects focused on innovative housing solutions
- Bridge academic theory with practical community development
- Create opportunities for students to engage in real-world community projects
- Foster collaboration between students and community stakeholders
- Lead the global implementation of the Voice Up Credential program
- Design and develop curriculum that builds essential leadership and change-making skills
- Create assessment frameworks for measuring real-world and soft skills development
- Establish partnerships with employers to validate and enhance credential value
- Mentor emerging leaders through the credential acquisition process
- Integrate credential programming with community development initiatives
- Design experiential learning opportunities that contribute to credential achievement
First Year Milestones
Executive in Residence Period (3 - 6 months)
- Immerse in Voice Up's mission, culture, and operational framework
-Identify and perform community needs assessment on first pilot city development project.
- Create pathways for student involvement in community development projects
- Develop collaborative research opportunities
-Provide the foundation to secure first 10 year government partnership
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and team members
- Shadow key leadership team members
- Participate in strategic planning sessions
- Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives
Post-Transition Period (Months 7-12)
- Launch initial cohort of the Voice Up Credential program (community, housing, development)
- Develop employer partnerships for credential recognition
- Launch comprehensive community needs assessments
- Begin implementation of strategic initiatives
- Lead key partnerships and stakeholder relationships
- Complete comprehensive community needs assessments in multiple target cities
- Develop criteria for identifying additional communities ready for implementation
- Create detailed implementation plans for pilot communities
- Establish partnerships with key stakeholders and community leaders
- Design evaluation frameworks for measuring program impact
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Knowledge of urban design principles and contemporary housing innovation
- Proven track record in community development or social innovation
- Experience in housing policy, community engagement, or related fields
- Strong project management and strategic planning skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships
- Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders
- Background in or understanding of integrated community services (housing, healthcare, education, workforce development)
- Experience with remote team collaboration and virtual project management
- Experience in workforce development
- Understanding of competency-based assessment and skill validation
- Track record of developing leadership and professional development programs
- Academic teaching or mentoring experience preferred

Phase 2: Managing Partner (Post-successful completion of Phase 1)
