#Hiring: CNC Machinist II Vertical Lathe Location: Libertyville, IL Salary: $55,000 $65,000/yr Schedule: Full-time On-site About the Role Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with vertical lathe expertise to support high-precision manufacturing operations. This role is critical to production quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC vertical lathes Interpret blueprints, work orders, and flow sheets Inspect parts using manual gauges Load tools, fixtures, and materials per WOPAC Upload/download and edit CNC programs Submit first article and final inspections Perform in-process inspections Maintain a clean workspace following 5S Complete preventive machine maintenance Log time and job data using ERP systems Qualifications & Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent 5+ years CNC machining experience (vertical lathe required) Strong blueprint reading skills Experience editing and writing CNC programs Strong math skills (trigonometry preferred) Ability to stand for extended periods ️ Safety-sensitive position
