FAITH & WELLNESS CONTENT INTERNSHIP
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Faith & Wellness Content Internship prepares emerging leaders to explore the intersection of spirituality, emotional wellness, and restorative storytelling. Rooted in MTDMN’s commitment to culturally grounded and dignity-centered content, this internship equips participants to create media that uplifts hope, resilience, and purpose.
This role is ideal for students in religious studies, psychology, public health, counseling, theology, social work, media production, or anyone drawn to the connections between faith, wellbeing, and storytelling.
PROGRAM GOALS
1. Develop skills in faith-informed and wellness-focused storytelling.
2. Explore culturally diverse expressions of hope, healing, and resilience.
3. Create accessible content that bridges spiritual and emotional wellness.
4. Support MTDMN programs focused on healing, meaning-making, and identity.
5. Learn trauma-informed, interfaith-sensitive, and ethically grounded communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in developing MTDMN’s Faith & Wellness content series.
• Conduct interviews with faith leaders, community healers, and wellness scholars.
• Help produce media that reflects diverse spiritual traditions and wellbeing practices.
• Research community-based healing traditions, rituals, and cultural expressions.
• Participate in emotional literacy and interfaith dialogue workshops.
• Support live and virtual MTDMN programs exploring purpose and wellness.
• Collaborate on tools and storytelling guides for families and communities.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Interns will:
• Understand intersections among spiritual identity, emotional health, and storytelling.
• Apply trauma informed and culturally responsive strategies when creating faith content.
• Strengthen their ability to communicate across diverse belief systems.
• Contribute to media that restores connection, dignity, and belonging.
• Build a portfolio of meaningful, ethically grounded faith & wellness media.
INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE INCLUDES
• Weekly Faith & Wellness Labs.
• Workshops on spiritual care, emotional safety, and culturally responsive storytelling.
• Mentorship from MTDMN leaders and wellness practitioners.
• Opportunities to support documentary, podcast, or short form content.
• A final project: Voices of Hope, a media piece highlighting a spiritual resilience story.
WHO SHOULD APPLY
Ideal candidates are compassionate, curious, respectful of diverse worldviews, and passionate about bridging media, spirituality, and wellbeing. No prior media or theological training is required.
IMPACT
