Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Lead Teacher for our Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bethel, PA for the 2025 2026 school year.

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5 13) on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.
JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
PAY: $16.00 per hour
HOURS: 7:00 - 8:35 am & 3:20 - 6:30 pm

Position Responsibilities
The Before and After School Program team is responsible for:
Creating and leading hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises
Supporting students with homework and academic tasks
Maintaining a safe, healthy, organized, and enjoyable environment
Acting as a positive and supportive role model for children in the program
Arriving fully prepared and staying on-site until the final child has been picked up
Communicating regularly with parents and families through the Playground App
Adhering to state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program guidelines, and host school policies
Assisting with attendance records, enrollment processes, and staffing needs as required
Requirements
Education and Experience
Candidate must possess one of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience
Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience
Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience
Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience
Relevant experience includes: working with school-age children in after-school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth.
Qualifications
18 years of age
Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
