Senior Engineer (093937)
Perform engineering duties in the development of mechanical components and sub-assemblies for personal transportation vehicles from concept to production. Contribute to roadmaps for consumer vehicles, project risk assessment (budget, schedule, scope) and mitigation plans. Create engineering release plans for all components and bills of materials for assigned programs. Work with suppliers and other external resources to develop technologies and/or products to meet specifications. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to incorporate designs into Club Car manufacturing processes.
WFH is allowed up to 2 days/week.
Requires up to 30% domestic and international travel.
7 years of experience as a design engineer or related occupation.
Must include some experience with:
- Vehicle product development in various production environments including the supporting supply chain.
- 8D Problem Solving Process.
- FMVSS, ASTM/SAE, UL94, IP, ISO, IEC.
- Process knowledge for plastics: injection molding, extrusion, compression molding, blow molding, thermoforming, and other processes used for the manufacturing of products made from polymeric materials.
- Product development tools DFMEA, DFM, DVP, GD&T, DOE and APQP.
- Applying and understanding the results of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD).
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Foreign equivalents accepted.
