Hiring: Workshop Manager & Technical Service Specialist Location: Ponchatoula, LA Salary: $60,000+/yr Schedule: Full-time Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Workshop Manager & Technical Service Specialist to lead service operations, support technical sales, and manage repairs and spare parts for mechanical drive systems. This role combines hands-on mechanical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, supporting both in-house operations and field service activities. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sales and service strategies Provide technical support for mechanical systems including gearboxes and winches Plan and perform on-site service, inspections, and repairs Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues independently Prepare technical documentation and repair quotations Coordinate with internal teams and support customer relationships Manage spare parts, repairs, and customer service requests Document service activities and maintain accurate records Qualifications & Requirements 5+ years of experience with mechanical systems and repairs Hands-on experience with gearboxes and winches Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills Experience in customer service or technical field service preferred Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems (Sage preferred) Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently Strong communication and customer-facing skills U.S. work authorization required
