By the time mental health interventions become standard practice, the students who needed them are in their 30s and 40s. **The Fake Follower Crisis:** Research shows 6 out of 10 social media followers are FAKE, with real engagement averaging just 0.45% on Instagram. Students spend 4.8 hours daily comparing themselves to purchased fantasies, resulting in mental health crises driven by artificial validation. **Voice Up students refuse to wait 17 years OR measure their worth by fake followers.** They read research, design interventions, implement them locally, and document measurable results all within 8-12 weeks. ## Your Dual Role: Create + Document ### Building Your Impact Project (60% of your time) This is the heart of your internship. Through facilitated conversations within our safe community, you'll: 1. **Discover Your Cause** - What issue matters most to you? Mental health? Healthcare access? Environmental justice?
