About the Role:

Healthy Kids Programs is looking for a seasoned Regional Director to lead our multi-site childcare operations throughout Connecticut. In this key leadership position, you will drive program quality, guide and support site directors, and ensure adherence to all CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC) regulations. You will also build and sustain positive relationships with families, staff, and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and strategic direction for Before & After School and Summer Camp programs operating across more than nine licensed locations.
Hire, onboard, mentor, and evaluate site directors and team members, ensuring all staff satisfy OEC requirements while maintaining exceptional standards of care.
Monitor and enforce compliance with OEC licensing guidelines, including proper ratios, safety protocols, supervision practices, and overall program quality.
Perform routine site evaluations to assess performance, ensure consistency, and authorize purchasing of program materials and supplies.
Oversee workforce management, including scheduling, attendance tracking, performance coaching, professional development, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
Partner with executive leadership to strengthen program offerings, support regional growth, and introduce new initiatives.
Manage financial performance, with emphasis on payroll control and efficient allocation of resources.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with school partners, families, and regulatory bodies.
Assist with outreach efforts, including marketing, enrollment processes, and community involvement initiatives.

Requirements
Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Early Childhood Education or related field preferred).
2+ years of experience working with children under 13 (licensed childcare experience preferred).
5+ years of supervisory experience, including staff and operations management.
Head Teacher Certification for School Age students
Connecticut Director’s Credential (or completion of Administration and Supervision of Early Childhood Programs)
Knowledge of CT Office of Early Childhood Regulations (OEC) and best practices.
Experience with HR and payroll platforms, as well as registration and attendance tracking systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams), with the ability to analyze data, manage reporting, and support cross-functional communication.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Must pass all OEC-required background checks, be medically fit, and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Valid driver’s license is required.
