About the Role:
Healthy Kids Programs seeks a skilled Regional Director to oversee childcare operations across multiple locations in Connecticut. This leadership position is responsible for maintaining high program standards, guiding site directors, and ensuring adherence to CT OEC regulations, while fostering meaningful connections with families, staff, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide oversight and guidance for Before & After School and Summer Camp programs across 9+ licensed sites.
Recruit, train, supervise, and support site directors and staff, ensuring all employees meet OEC qualifications while upholding high-quality care.
Ensure full compliance with OEC licensing standards, including staff-to-child ratios, safety practices, supervision, and program expectations.
Perform regular site visits to evaluate program effectiveness and authorize supply purchases.
Manage staffing operations, including scheduling, attendance, callouts, professional development goals, and progressive discipline.
Partner with senior leadership to strengthen programs, support regional growth, and introduce new initiatives.
Oversee budgets with an emphasis on payroll management and efficient use of resources.
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with site partners, families, and regulatory agencies.
Assist with marketing, enrollment, and community outreach efforts.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Early Childhood Education or related field preferred).
2+ years of experience working with children under 13 (licensed childcare experience preferred).
5+ years of supervisory experience, including staff and operations management.
Head Teacher Certification for School Age students
Connecticut Director’s Credential (or completion of Administration and Supervision of Early Childhood Programs)
Knowledge of CT Office of Early Childhood Regulations (OEC) and best practices.
Experience with HR and payroll platforms, as well as registration and attendance tracking systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams), with the ability to analyze data, manage reporting, and support cross-functional communication.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Must pass all OEC-required background checks, be medically fit, and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Valid driver’s license is required.
