Healthy Kids Programs is seeking Summer Camp Counselors to guide campers through a summer filled with fun, friendship, and unforgettable adventures. This is your chance to lead, inspire, and create lifelong memories for children while being part of a supportive, award-winning team.
Schedule:
Summer: Monday Friday, shifts between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM
Potential to continue beyond summer with different hours
Location: Cushing Community School in Cushing, ME
Status: Part-time, non-exempt
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5 12) enrolled in program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in daily camp activities, including games, creative projects, arts & crafts, and special events.
Build a positive, inclusive environment where campers feel encouraged, supported, and engaged.
Maintain camper safety by following all state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school procedures.
Connect with families daily through the Playground App and provide guidance during parent orientations.
Assist with community outreach to promote the program and engage potential families.
Lead with energy and a positive attitude, setting an example through enthusiasm and a proactive approach.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
Minimum age of 18 and hold a high school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment that engages and supports children, families, and staff
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience interacting with families and supporting parent engagement
Ability to support community outreach initiatives to promote programs and engage prospective families
Maintains professionalism, reliability, and punctuality, while modeling enthusiasm, positivity, and a can-do attitude
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including bending, stretching, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children
