Hospitalist (0251510)

Responsible for quality direct medical care to hospitalized adult patients from admission until discharge and works closely with the patient’s primary care provider in management of their care. Performs inpatient medicine consults as needed and participates in and leads research, scholarly activities and group quality and performance improvement projects. Works extensively with patients and families, residents and students, mid-level providers and other clinical and administrative staff, referring physicians, and specialists to ensure goals of care are met through all channels. Works at hospitals in Newark and Wilmington, DE as well as Elkton, MD.
Requires a medical degree or foreign equivalent; completion of an Internal Medicine residency program; Delaware State Medical License; and Maryland State Medical License.
