Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with people management in a technical environment.
- Experience in autoscaling services.

In this role, you will be leading a team in developing Metrics and Observability for GenAI based development tools that are propelling developers productivity like never experienced before. You will develop server code as well as Middleware code which implement data intelligence functionalities.
In this role, we are looking for a Software Engineering, Engineering Manager who is passionate about delivering AI technologies to Cloud customers. You will be working with top researchers, engineers, and product managers from both Google Cloud AI and Google Research, developing AI solutions that will contribute directly to Google's product excellence.A conversational AI tool that enables users to collaborate with generative AI and help augment their imagination, expand their curiosity, and enhance their productivity.
Responsibilities
- Mentor a team of engineers through the full software development life-cycle, fostering collaboration, and prioritizing their professional growth and career advancement.
- Drive team planning processes to align with stakeholder expectations, manage priorities, deadlines and deliverables and collaborate across teams to deliver joint projects efficiently.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team while leveraging expertise to enable informed decision-making.
- Build relationships with internal customers to understand requirements, address concerns, anticipate future needs and deliver solutions that meet expectations.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business priorities and develop strategies to support organizational goals.
