  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Java), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in software design and development, in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Experience in developing infrastructure/tools for test automation, defining metrics and building monitoring systems for product excellence.
  • Experience in mobile app or user experience.
  • Ability to manage projects on their own.

In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the overall quality and user experience of Google Pixel and related devices.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s software and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Work on software engineering projects that are innovative, design and develop solutions that solve or strategically address business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, design and implement automated infrastructures and toolings to scale the product testing and development. 
  • Conduct analysis effectively per extensive knowledge on functionalities. 
  • Participate in product design discussion with stakeholders for product excellence, using data-driven approach to communicate and influence product design, testability, and product deployment with delightful user experience. 
  • Create or adopt or improve existing test tools and infrastructure to increase test effectiveness and team work efficiency
