Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science.
  • 3 years of leadership experience in complex, and matrixed organizations.
  • Experience with RTOS, bare-metal design, and host-to-firmware communication mechanisms like mailboxes and ring buffers.
  • Experience in cloud or data center development, and system bring-up using C, C++, Go, or Rust.
  • Experience in designing recovery strategies, fault-tolerant logic, and automated troubleshooting tools for mission-critical environments.
  • Excellent design skills with the ability to debug complex hardware-software interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Align team priorities and decision-making with organizational goals while managing roadmaps for multiple technical teams to meet future infrastructure needs.
  • Set clear role-based expectations and provide consistent coaching, feedback, and performance development for individual contributors.
  • Design and vet complex system (TPU bare metal system on prem) and architectures, write product code to resolve ambiguous technical challenges across the broader platform.
  • Develop large-scale AI infrastructure hardware interfaces (DMA, interrupts, registers) and middleware services to bridge high-level applications with foundational platform elements.
  • Build real-time diagnostics and fault-tolerant logic while partnering with hardware and validation teams to define interfaces and drive design reviews.
