Customer Engineer II, Start-up, Google Cloud
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture.
- Experience architecting solutions for data transformation, migration, governance strategies or disaster recovery.
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with networking concepts (e.g., Routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls).
- Experience in startup or digital natives.
- Experience in configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Chef, CFEngine, Salt), and functional operations of server, storage, and network functions.
- Experience with private, hybrid, or public cloud technology, migrating Linux, including virtualization.
- Experience with data centers consolidation, relocation, migration, or virtualization projects.
- Experience in architecting and developing software or infrastructure for distributed systems.

You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers, understand their business and technical requirements, and present solutions on Google Cloud. You will possess excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills.

- Assess current application and infrastructure setups for customers and assist in the creation and execution of migration plans.
- Partner with operations, support, and engineering teams to troubleshoot and ensure migrations, including traveling to customer sites and advocating at industry conferences or related events.
- Conduct technical sessions for internal teams, partners, and customers to manage technical success and accelerate business growth.
- Develop cloud migration strategies by defining architectures, collaborating on migration plans, and designing the orchestration of deployment phases, while demonstrating and prototyping Google Cloud Platform (GCP) product integrations within customer and partner environments to prove technical viability.
- Identify and qualify migration opportunities, addressing key customer technical objections and developing strategies to resolve technical blockers.
