Silicon Strategy Lead, Pixel
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 11 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or product strategy, with a focus on the semiconductor, mobile, or consumer electronics sectors.
- Experience in the silicon life cycle, from initial architecture and PPA (Power, Performance, Area) trade-offs to commercialization and lifecycle management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree, MBA or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, specializing in SoC architecture or AI/ML, or a related field.
- Experience influencing C-suite or VP-level decisions on multi-year investment roadmaps and product portfolios.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and drive consensus across massive, matrixed organizations (e.g., engineering, supply chain, finance, and marketing).
- Strong business acumen, including profit and loss management, long-range financial planning, and the ability to link technical specifications to market-moving business outcomes.

As the Silicon Strategy Lead on the Devices and Services Strategy Operations team, you will directly inform the roadmap and strategy for Tensor and Pixel overall. You will bridge the gap between engineering breakthroughs and the five-year Pixel portfolio outlook, ensuring our silicon investments directly enable Google’s AI-first consumer experiences. You will be responsible for navigating cross-functional alignment between Engineering, Finance, and Product teams (e.g., silicon, product, software). This role requires a unique blend of semiconductor industry depth and executive-level business acumen to transform complex technical capabilities into sustainable market advantages and exceptional hardware products.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Lead effective application of market research, data science, market intelligence and strategic frameworks. Along with analysis and recommendation, this role involves achieving alignment on direction across cross-functional teams.
- Lead the long-range strategic planning for Tensor, aligning silicon capabilities with the 5-year Pixel portfolio and Google’s broader AI roadmap.
- Inform how silicon empowers the AI, software and hardware stack, focused on powering next-gen experiences across Gemini and our NTI pillars (e.g. camera/imaging tech). Being a bridge between the silicon and software teams.
- Drive the build versus buy frameworks and investment trade-offs that determine the future of our 1P silicon footprint.
- Partner deeply with Engineering, Finance, and Product leads to connect Devices and Services Product Group (DSPG) opportunities with potentially broader Google category landings for Tensor.
