The Chief Technology Office mission is to map and enable the future of the company through technology vision and leadership. As part of the team, you will play a key role in enabling the CTO to achieve its mission by helping transform it into reality.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

This Product Management position will be the driver and Product Owner for new incubation projects within or CTO organization. You will work in a very dynamic environment with some of our brightest technical leaders to conceptualize and experience new technologies and ideas. This role requires that you are comfortable with ambiguity and can excel in an environment where a lean mindset to continuous experimentation and customer validation are expected. You must be able to understand the big picture and translate new ideas and concepts into the overall vision and strategy of the organization. You will work closely with other business units to organize and drive initiatives, develop business cases & experiments, validate assumptions and share progress & results. You will also help to shape our innovation processes and framework. This is a critical individual contributor role that will help us drive innovation and new concepts for Veritas.

The role will include the following responsibilities:

· Develop and validate new business concepts using techniques such as lean and business canvases to articulate and communicate new ideas

· Define and drive the backlog of requirements for new ideas and concepts. As PO, you will be accountable for defining the stories that the team will develop against

· Pitch new ideas to our review board and work closely with other key stakeholders to organize and deliver “pitch” to senior leaders in the organization

· Gather inputs from our internal and external stakeholders and synthesize them into a clear and justifiable set of product requirements that will drive the development of the ideas/concepts

· Research technology vendors and trends to determine the opportunity and impact of the solutions and technology we are developing and identify potential partner and OEM opportunities

· Drive internal and external experiments with customers and other key stakeholders to quickly validate concepts and assumptions

· Work with UX and UI teams to design and develop world class user experiences that with amaze and delight customers

Skills & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

· 5+ years of hands-on product management experience in storage and information management

· Direct experience in with data center automation, VMware, Amazon and/or other cloud and big data technologies

· 3+ years of Agile experience in a technology company as a Product Owner or Scrum Master

· Must have BSCS, BSEE or equivalent – MSCS or MBA preferred or equivalent experience in a relevant role

· Experience strategic innovation, and developing and delivering disruptive incubation

· Proficient at building strong relationships with engineering and cross-functional development teams

· Strong customer-facings skill and ability to present product roadmap and lead technical discussions

· Strong analytical and decision-making skills that can be applied in a fast moving environment

· Excellent communication skills and ability to synthesize and articulate complex concepts targeted at multiple audiences

· A history of delivering technology products and solutions to market that delight customers

· Possessing strong communication skills and enjoying spending time in the market with customers and partners to better understand their business issues. Can quickly build excellent rapport with internal and external users and technologists.

· Demonstrated team-building skills. Importantly, he or she will have the ability to motivate and guide people beyond the direct reporting structure, and will be able to impact the organization across a variety of functions.

· Standout dynamic personality in an environment of very bright, highly motivated, and very talented people.

· Willingness to travel internationally approximately 10-15%
