Job Description

Community Bridges will be opening a facility to provide court ordered evaluations and court ordered treatment in Mesa, Arizona. We are looking for individuals who have experience working at Behavioral Health Technicians and have experience or interest in working on a 23-Hour Crisis and Inpatient Unit.

This position is a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team that provides direct care to psychiatric patients working under the direction of a registered nurse and medical practitioner.  The primary focus is engaging patients and providing a safe environment in the milieu.

Skills & Responsibilities

Able to interact with people experiencing a behavioral health crisis

Intervenes in crisis situations and attempts to avert potential crises

Able to interface with members of a multidisciplinary team and provide timely information regarding patient behaviors and symptoms

Able to demonstrate understanding of mental illness and associated symptomatology.

Able to pass waive testing requirements to take vital signs and other waived tests.

Must have compassion and understand basic tenets of recovery

Able to demonstrate basic computer skills, including:  use of EMR, Outlook, and Word.

Able to work as a team with other professionals and to carry out responsibilities with supervision

Must be able to move and lift up to 150 pounds.

Able to move around quickly and freely in response to crisis situations
