Job Description

Is it 2nd nature for you to offer w helping hand to those need? Do you enjoy making your community a better place? If the answer is yes Total Transit, parent company of Discount Cab, needs your help. We are increasing our fleet due to a recent contract that was awarded to us by University of Arizona Health Plans. As a result a high percentage of our transportation requests during the day will NEMT (non-emergency medical transport) and we are committed to attracting quality drivers that intrinsically CARE about this world and care about people.

Taxi cabs are now responsible for transporting ambulatory adults and children whether it’s behavioral health or medical facilities. As a result, driving a taxi is now VERY different than what it used to be 5-10 years ago---- while the perception of being a taxi driver may remain the same in the public eye, we have really more or less become the unsung heroes serving AHCCCS and other areas of the community that could use the help. Some of the other noteworthy contracts we have in place are: Bridgeway, PHP, Magellan, and Mercy Care.

Part or full-time applicants are welcome and you can write your own schedule. Average drivers earn between $15-$20/hour--- we pay cash at the end of your shift.

Skills & Responsibilities

Must have a valid Arizona driver\'s license
Must be a legal US resident
Must be at least 23 years of age
Must have had a driver\'s license for at least 39 months
Must have a clean 5 year MVR report, no more than 2 weeks old
Must pass a five-panel drug screening
