BASIC PURPOSE:

To sell future cruise vacations to potential guests who initiate contact directly with Norwegian Cruise Line. Vacation Planners are required to maximize sales and increase revenue generated for Norwegian Cruise Line, as well as update and maintain the CRM database in order to better facilitate the functions of the Personal Cruise Consultants.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Telephone participation in an active sales process with potential guests who initiate contact directly with Norwegian Cruise Line.

Provide concierge level service to the guest answering all guest questions.

Attempt to close the sale and collect booking deposit on the first call.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of all NCL products and systems.

Gather critical guest data, including specific cruise interest, and enter into CRM.

Attend daily sales meetings and training sessions as required to improve performance and knowledge.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Responsibilities

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year of sales experience in a call center environment, 2 years sales experience in a call center preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional customer service and sales skills.

Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft software, i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel.

Ability to meet department attendance guidelines to include a minimum of 40 hours weekly and shifts that include various work schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
